We are pleased to welcome new members to our laboratory for the 2024 academic year. Motivated students interested in geotechnical engineering have joined us, bringing new energy to the laboratory.

New Members

Graduate Students

  • Master’s 1st year: 3 students
    • One student interested in mechanical properties of unsaturated soils
    • One student focusing on pile foundation design
    • One student aspiring to develop environmentally-conscious geomaterials
  • Doctoral 1st year: 1 student
    • Plans to work on applications of AI and machine learning to geotechnical engineering

Undergraduate Students

  • 4th year: 5 students
    • Will challenge various themes including liquefaction, soil testing, numerical analysis, and slope stability

Orientation

On April 5th, we conducted an orientation for new members, including a tour of laboratory facilities and demonstrations of soil testing equipment. Senior students also introduced their research, raising expectations for the upcoming research activities.

We hope all new members will have a fulfilling research experience in the profound field of geotechnical engineering. Faculty and senior members are ready to provide full support.

All existing members look forward to working with you.
